ACCA Jobs in India

The very first job that you can apply for is Statu

In our recent article we wrote about ACCA Salaries in India where we covered that event as students ACCA’s can get salaries starting with 2.5 lacs p.a. and goes up to 8 lacs for students who have completed their ACCA. Today we just want to talk about what jobs are available in India. And while it’s very easy to google the same and ACCA does have a very good job portal, we thought of elaborating some of the broader roles that are available.

The very first job that you can apply for is Statutory Audits. While this was something only reserved for CA’s back in the day, big like EY Deloitte or GT, BDO, Baker Tilly or for that matter Indian Practices like CNK Associates have been hiring ACCA students and fully qualified at various levels. If you are someone who enjoys travelling, and likes investigating, meeting different people, then Stat Audits is your profile.

The next very common job that ACCA students can go for are Internal Audit, again these are available with most of the Big 4’s and top MNCs and Audit firms. Therefore if you don’t want to do as much travel and not want to be stressed about compliances and timelines that go with them, then Internal Audits are a very good option.

Moving on to Finance and Accounting Roles, there are plenty of jobs that are available at MNC’s like Accenture, Infosys, WNS, Cognizant, etc. where you can apply for with Accounting or Finance Role. So lets say if you like Accounts, then take up a role in R2R, O2C, P2P etc. Similarly if you like finance then FP&A, Controlling etc. can be taken up.

Then there are niche roles like cost controlling, finance controlling, treasury, quality, etc. There are also top notch banks like JP Morgan, Credit Suisse that are hiring ACCA’s fund accounting, Risk Management. On speaking with Zaheer Sayed, ACCA, one of the most experienced ACCA Faculties teaching at Financial Planning Academy (FPA) – ACCA Gold Approved Learning Partner, he reaffirmed “there are plenty of jobs for the right person. There are hardly top companies today that are not hiring ACCA's. One only has to go to ACCA jobs portal or LinkedIn to check for the jobs. Plus I rarely come across people who are ACCA’s are struggling for jobs forever. Yes, we all face challenge to find that first job be it CA or ACCA, however most students I have known, they all are doing well. Plus the ACCA salaries in India have gone up considerably.”

So like you can see, the jobs are plenty you just need to go out in the market and go for it. We wish all our students and members all the best for their job hunt. We would like to thank Zaheer Sir again for his valuable inputs, and wish FPA and its students very best of luck! If anyone wants to know more about FPA, you can visit www.fpa.edu.in.
