MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality and Delivery

•Develop a culture of communication, empathy and exceptional client service in the team
•Improve quality of deliverables constantly and explore avenues of automation
•Ensure timely filing of returns before the due date and 100% TAT
•Contribute heavily during the implementation of VAT in remaining countries by building strong advisory
specialties within the team in India
•Conducting VAT compliance reviews, process improvements and planning every month
•Come up with innovative ideas to grow the company into one of the best compliance practice
•Responsible for transition of all VAT returns and ensure that 90% of the compliance is handled in India
•Explore more avenues in which India team can play a role with on shore team
•Mentoring and guiding new joiners and the team through regular training and on boarding experience
enhancement
•Regular travel to the GCC countries
•Establish a very strong working relationship with all Managers
•Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen;
Management and Culture
•Coordinate with the on shore Senior Managers and Managers in building robust compliance process
through best practices
•Ensure constant counseling and career feedback is shared with the team and be part of the year end
review process
•Work closely with the Senior Management to predict the growth and requirements through adequate
planning
•Build strong internal relationships within the VAT practice, Indirect Tax and across other service lines;
•Assisting on shore team in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities
on new/existing clients
•Attitude towards learning and growing in the field of tax and attention to details
•Reporting directly to the Director / Managing Partner
Operations
•Pivotal role in recruitment of the right talent for the role through representing the firm at career fairs,
university sessions and coordinating walk ins
•Create a monthly MIS report to the Senior Management to ensure smooth compliance periods and
challenges along with solutions
•Ensure the local compliance requirement of the company in India is taken care through coordination
with the consultants
•Address all employee queries and challenges from operational perspective and always have solutions

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
•6 8 years of work experience in VAT/Indirect Taxes in a Big 4
•ACCA member MBA or CA with EU or GCC VAT Compliance Experience or India GST Experience
•Handled on shore, off shore team and model
•Availability to travel within the GCC
•MS Office (MS PowerPoint, MS Word & MS Excel)
•Excellent English skills (Reading, Speaking and Writing)
