What you need to know
• Proficient engagement in Stakeholders Management (i.e., Onshore team, Controller , Auditor etc.)
• Responsible for US GAAP close on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis , balance sheet reconciliations and internal management reporting
• Understanding of Insurance business cycle (Preferable)
• Role involves both hands-on preparation as well as detailed review of finalization
• Proficient in understanding and explaining business drivers for any P&L and Balance sheet movements (North America Agency business)
• Should have good understanding of business finance, ie accounting for prefunds, TPA business, reconciliation etc.
• Hands on experience in financial statements, US GAAP Accounting, Balance Sheet recon & Management reporting
• Role involves certifying key & non-key reconcillations and analysing key findings
• Ensure compliance with GAAP reporting guidelines set by GAAP standards and AIG
• Participate and lead key process improvement projects - Innovative and always looking for continuous improvement
• Provide supporting documentation to the Company's independent auditors for GAAP matters
What we’re looking for:
• ACCA member with more than 5 years of accounting experience in US GAAP accounting and Analytics
• US Visa readiness (Mandatory)
• Preference given for strong understanding of insurance accounting & reporting
• Ability to collaborate and interact effectively with all levels of staff and management
• Effectively manage assigned team to deliver financials timely and accurately
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi task, prioritize and organize work to meet key deadlines
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Financial systems knowledge preferred including but not limited to SAP EP1/BI/BOBJ, Blackline
• Demonstrated record of consistent strong performance
• Flexible for shifts during close period to work along with our US&C office
SHIFT: 12:30 PM – 9:30 PM
