Support service delivery of Tax processes, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and quality of work / reports

Support coordination with other functions (including leadership) as well as Global Process Owners within a Shared Service Center (SSC)
Responsibilities
Responsible for key Tax process activities in the Captive SSC (Indirect tax compliance, Tax reconciliation, Tax filing, Transfer Pricing including Intercompany processing and calculations, provision of direct tax data), and ensuring timeliness, accuracy and quality of work / reports in the following areas:

Ensure timely preparation and filing of EMEA and APJ indirect tax returns

Collect data inputs from financial systems to prepare the indirect tax returns and computations

Support provision of direct tax data to external advisers
-
Perform tax reconciliations
-
Perform Intercompany transaction processing and calculations (including data refresh), ensuring they are accurately recorded and complete

Ensure all reporting activities are executed timely, accurately and with the required quality and ensure compliance to SOX
-
Maintain historical records by filing documents and update the activity lists and tax work schedules

Respond to routine queries from the finance team and business

Protect organisation's value by keeping information confidential

Other Tax support administration tasks as assigned from time to time
Required Skills and Experience
Education and Experience
-
Accounting qualifications will be an essential (CA, CPA, ACCA)

2-6 years’ experience
-
Direct relevant experience of working in a Captive SSC / Business Process Outsourcing Organisations will be desired (in addition to years of experience/qualification)
Knowledge and Skills
Essential:

Strong domain knowledge in Tax processes
-
Experience in Tax areas such as Indirect Tax / VAT, Direct Tax, Intercompany / Transfer Pricing Tax / International Tax

Up to date technical knowledge of VAT and indirect rules and awareness of corporate Tax rules

Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) / US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP) Accounting

Excellent knowledge of operation of control frameworks such as SoX
-
Experience in activities related to tax advisory, deal support etc. will be preferred
-
Strong experience of finance & accounting systems (Oracle / SAP / Netsuite / Assurenet tools) as well as Tax Applications

Flexibility to support different time-zones and geographies

Flexibility to travel across geographies

Experience of managing senior onshore customers through daily/hourly interactions

Fluency in English language (verbal and written)
