Results time! What next???

   So it’s that time of the quarter when the much awaited ACCA results would be declared, hope you’re excited. Now there are a few things that are going to happen next, and in today’s article we will discuss what we can do.

Firstly, if you’re one of those who have cleared the levels then do one of the below:

1. Done with Knowledge Level – Ofcos the knowledge level exams don’t need to wait for the quarters; however we wanted to make this article useful for all. So if you are done with the knowledge level, then make sure you give the online module of Foundation in Professionalism. This will give you the certificate in applied accounting.

 

2. Done with Skill Level – There are quite a few things that you can do. Firstly start preparing for the next level i.e. strategic Professional. You’re in the rhythm already, ride the recent success and make sure you give 200% and clear the next paper. Doesn’t matter which papers you give, give your best, so this choice should be your first, keep progressing towards your final goal of completing ACCA.

 

Secondly, you should complete the Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM) online post which you will get your diploma in applied accounting from ACCA. This is like another feather in your cap, and shows the great deal of efforts you have taken so far in academic journey. Not to forget EPSM is extremely important if you intend to sit Strategic Business Leader (SBL) as 20% of the paper is relevant to the EPSM. Even the rest of the papers have requirement of professional skills which you’ll get from this exercise therefore make sure you do this ASAP.

 

Additionally post skills level and EPSM you can also do BSc program from Oxford Brookes University. It’s a brilliant addition to the set of achievement’s you can get while doing ACCA, therefore find an approved mentor and do the BSc. “For a very small amount of money and a short dissertation, you get to be a Graduate from Oxford Brookes University, something that students would usually have to spend lacs of Rs to get if they were in the UK studying a similar program” Zaheer Abbas Sayed, ACCA and Approved Oxford Brookes Mentor.\

 

3. Done with Professional Level – Well this was the day you have been dreaming of for a very long time, and it’s finally here. Enjoy and start a new chapter in your professional journey. Whether you want to work for Big 4 in audits, want to work for MNC’s or International banks, or you want to open your own practice, everything is possible. Whatever you do, put your heart, because careers are all about positive attitude. You’ll soon realise that ACCA completion was only a start of a very crazy journey, no less than a roller coaster ride. You now have the skill to win the world, so go out there and make yourself proud.

Finally, if you have missed clearing the paper, you can’t afford to waste any time sulking. You need to gather yourself and make sure you start to come back with stronger. Try to figure out your weak areas, make sure your papers are reviewed by experts so that you can fix the gaps and clear the paper next time round.
