ACCA September Exams Update
It has now been formally communicated to the Learning Providers and also communication is on its way to the students that the September Centre based exams have now been cancelled. Instead these exams would now be done Remotely with online Invigilation.
Who is impacted: All the skill level and professional level students in India would now have to sit for the Remote exams.
How will it work: The students will firstly need to ensure they have booked the exams before the 27th of July for the standard entry of the centre based exams. These would then be cancelled subsequently, money refunded to your My ACCA account in a weeks’ time (yet to get this confirmed). Post that you’ll receive an email from the ACCA team to rebook the exams and link would be provided for the proctor exam registration.
How the exams will work: Though the details are yet to be confirmed, however you’ll be selecting the exam slots just like normally you would do. Before the exam day you’ll receive an email from the proctor team to download the software and then test on the machine you’ll use for the exam. Please ensure that you use the SAME machine for testing as you would do to sit for exams. Also please make sure that the system requirements are taken seriously and laptop/PC, webcam, etc. are meeting the requirements laid out. On the exam day, you’ll receive a token that would be used to enter the examination and then the rest is similar to how your centre based exams. On the exam day important that you chose a quiet place, good internet, stable electricity. We are yet to know what will happen if the exams get disconnected, will share that update as soon as we have it.
What you can do: Right now the best thing is to book the exams asap, you don’t want to miss on the slots available. Don’t definitely wait for the last hour rush when the systems are overburdened, therefore books exams today. Also push your study preparation in the final gear where its only about a month and quarter to go, make sure you make best use of this time. Do lots of exam kits, past papers, mocks etc.
We all should be proud of ACCA for allowing the remote exams to be done, this will go a long way in building the brand and trust with the students who have been putting in all the efforts over the last 6 months to prepare the exams. All the best everyone!
